The Illinois Club is one of the oldest university social clubs serving the University and Champaign-Urbana community. The purpose of our Club is to promote friendship and education, this purpose is achieved through interest groups, campus tours, University of Illinois scholarship awards, and special events.

A Note from the President...

Welcome to the homepage of the Illinois Club. I am pleased to be serving as president this year. The Illinois Club has been actively bringing people together in friendship and mutual interests for 157 years. We are diverse and vibrant with members participating in a variety of social, recreational, educational activities and scholarship support. We started as a women's club and evolved to include spouses, friends, and community members. In addition to our more social activities, we award University of Illinois students with scholarships every year through our endowments housed with the University of Illinois Foundation. I invite you whether you are a current member, prospective member or someone who just stumbled upon our page to check out the many events, interest groups and other activities listed on this website. If you like what you see, I invite you to contact us and attend one of our events or interest group meetings to meet our members and learn more about our activities. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, family, outdoor activities, travel and all that summer has to offer.

Although not all our Interest Groups are currently active, it does not mean that your board members have not been busy. Plans are in the works for events for the year, tours and new interest groups. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the Fall Gathering on September 14th at Papa Del's. Consider bringing a guest and plan to hear about our exciting plans for the coming year.

Our new membership year begins July 1st. I encourage you to renew your membership today so you don't miss out on any of the fun and to to assure that your name is included in the directory.

Renewing your membership is easy. Here are your options:

We are still in search of a Vice-President to help me out this year and take over the reigns next year. Without members to take on the important work of the board, we have a hard time continuing to offer the events and activities of our club. Please consider taking on this important role.

Tour: Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery Wednesday, March 26, 2025; 10:00am 4410 N Lincoln Ave, Urbana (map) Tour the farm to see their vision of sustainable, regenerative agriculture. This is a 60-min tour ending with a sample of cheese.
