The purpose of our Club is to promote friendship and education, this purpose is achieved through interest groups, campus tours, University of Illinois scholarship awards, and special events.

A Note from the President...

Greetings -

Come out and hear the awesome stories of our 2023 scholarship recipients and enjoy a delicious lunch with friends at the same time. The scholarship committee worked hard this year. They reviewed a record number of applications and struggled to choose only nine outstanding students to receive ours and the Ikenberry award in the upcoming academic year. Thanks to your generous support of our appeal for gifts to our current-use account, the committee was able to award two additional scholarships beyond the earnings from our endowment.

The other item on the agenda for the Scholarship Luncheon is the election of our officers for FY2024. You will find the proposed slate of officers at the bottom of the March E News, as well as on our "next Board" webpage. We are still in need of assistance in the Vice President role. We welcome your comments and suggestions. Please send them to president@theillinoisclub.org prior to the luncheon.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the luncheon on Saturday, March 4th. More details are found below.

To all the Irish, both by ancestry or in spirit, happy St. Patrick Day!

Cheers,
Donna Offenbecher
