The Illinois Club is one of the oldest university social clubs serving
the University and Champaign-Urbana community. The purpose of our Club
is to promote friendship and education, this purpose is achieved through interest groups,
campus tours, University of Illinois scholarship awards, and special events.
A Letter from the President...
I hope you have been celebrating life one day at a time.
We need to find our smiles across the miles as we wait for
new rulings on sharing and caring.
Our Board is so ready to go! Meeting managers have looked at
possible spots to start the year. Tours, CU4Dinner, Games,
and many other interest groups are on hold but Knitting, Superstar Reads,
Cinema, Walk and Talk, and Cosmopolitan are all "ZOOMING" along.
Thank you to one an all for keeping your positive plans in place.
Thank you to all who have reached out to other members,
and neighbors to keep The Illinois Club the place to be
when social distancing returns to simple socializing.
This is a year of change. What are your suggestions
on new groups or approaches? It is safe to have an 'idea'
and not need to be the chairperson. WE are The Illinois Club
over 100 years old and still planning for our future.
